An image of a mountain in the heart of a world-city is like a breath of fresh air that we allow ourselves.
A contemplative break essential to recharge your batteries and remember where you come from.
This photo representing a mountain landscape is an original and very trendy living room wall decoration.
A picture of a mountain in winter
This 70×120 cm black-and-white photo painting depicts the Imperial Crown of Zinal. Located in the Valais region of Switzerland, this Alpine region offers lovers of wide-open spaces high summits peaking at over 4,000 m in altitude. These include the Matterhorn, Obergabelhorn, Weisshorn and Zinalrothorn. And in the background, the Lyskamm and Breithorn in the background. These mountains are part of the Valais Alps, on the border between Switzerland and Italy.
It is in the village of Saint-Luc, nicely nicknamed the "station of the stars", that Sébastien and his family go every year for their vacations. A ski area in winter and hiking in summer, which seduces mountain and nature lovers. And there, the view on the bottom of the Val d’Anniviers is sublime. So to have in their living room this image of mountains in winter reminding them of this Swiss panorama is a real joy every day.
An original design object
Sébastien's apartment does not lack charm. Far from the large ultra-modern towers of this city nicknamed "the pearl of the Orient", this small haven of peace deserved an interior design contemporary and elegant.
In the living room, the black and white mountain photo chosen by Sébastien found its place perfectly, above the grey corner sofa Light. Adding depth to the room, the frame photo is perfectly lit by the large bay window. In front of it, we can see a colorful and pure painting representing a little Asian girl with a blue face and black hair. A marriage between civilizations and continents perfectly assumed and successful.
Sébastien opted for a photo frame contemporary for this panoramic view of the Imperial Crown of Zinal. It underlines the artistic dimension of the print photo in limited edition. It is much more than a decorative object with a modern design. One guesses a pure sky behind the grey of the black and white print . The play of light and shadow is underlined by some clouds subtly posed, as if in weightlessness. A poetic and timeless moment captured at sunrise, after days of waiting for the moment of grace.
Large format paintings to enlarge a room
Among the tips from an interior designer to visually enlarge a narrow, long room? First, painting the walls white is a good start. Especially when you have a beautiful bay window like Sebastian's. The view and the light are two important allies to open the space and make the notion of dimensions disappear.
It is often mistakenly thought that large paintings will shrink the room. On the contrary. They will give an impression of volume. Themountain picture in panoramic format gives a sense of depth. It also accentuates the impression of width of the living room, just like the large sofa that sits proudly at the back of the room, under the frame photo.
