Decoration of a mountain chalet in Villars

villars chalet decoration - black and white mountain photo
It is in the vaud alps that I take you to discover the interior design of Richard's comfortable and charming chalet. Let's meet in the canton of Vaud, in the heart of Villars, a typical family resort offering a spectacular view on the Muverans and the Mont Blanc. Our host has chosen a panoramic mountain landscape photo, that of the high mountains of Switzerland. A print of art that found its place in the wall decoration of an adult room.

Rediscover the pleasure of contemplating a mountain landscape in the cozy interior of your wooden chalet, while recalling your youthful memories... a great reason to choose a mountain photo painting for the decoration of a modern adult bedroom.

A mountain photo for a chalet interior decoration

It is in the vaud alps that I take you to discover the interior design of Richard's comfortable and charming chalet. Let's meet in the canton of Vaud, in the heart of Villars, a typical family resort offering a spectacular view of the Muverans and the Mont Blanc. Our host has chosen a panoramic mountain landscape photo, that of the high mountains of Switzerland. A print of art that found its place in the wall decoration of an adult room.

A mountain panorama in black and white for a chic atmosphere

Simplicity and refinement are the order of the day in this place of relaxation, where it's good to lounge in front of the fireplace. This is expressed even in the choice of decor for this romantic adult bedroom. The interior designer chose light, natural tones to highlight the black-and-white mountain photo. A panoramic print measuring 80×160 cm immortalizes this panorama composed of 2 pyramids formed by the Matterhorn and the Dent d'Hérens. In the foreground is Tête Blanche, summit on the last stage of the Haute Route between Chamonix and Zermatt.

Richard is a true mountain lover. In his youth, he was already a passionate mountaineer. And he has a few climbs to his credit. In fact, he could talk about them for hours. So when he decorated his chalet, Richard wanted a picture of the mountains in winter, a print black and white, which would be in perfect harmony with the natural frame of the village of Villars.

Authentic materials with an elegant style and contemporary

In this relatively low-ceilinged room, the antique wood decor with natural wood beams invites rest and promises peaceful nights. The custom-made frame that makes up the headboard, also in raw wood, is topped by a mirror that occupies the entire width of the room. The walls are white and the floor is in gray tiles Light... the color palette trend decor 2021 must.

How to bring a little extra soul into this cocooning decor? By opting for a large mountain photo, Richard was able to create a very special and personal atmosphere. Rather than a design object to put on a piece of furniture, he preferred to play the modern card, in contrast with this typically Swiss chalet, warm and welcoming.

How to choose a photo frame?

Framing a photois never a trivial act. Wood, metal, color, size, with or without frame... It is the detail that will really give all its dimension and all its importance to the picture.

The prints artworks that I propose are in limited series and delivered with certificate of authenticity. They can be framed according to your desires, and according to your interior decoration. The Prestance frame is available in 3 colors: black, silver or oak.

The frame contemporary, like in this room, is more minimalist.

This is a process in which the print is laminated on an aluminum plate. The image of the mountain is thus presented in its purest aspect. An aluminum frame slightly detaches it from the wall to give it a second dimension. In the room of Richard's chalet, a third dimension is brought by the mirror which reflects tirelessly this photo of mountain in winter while bringing depth to the room.
