Geneva is known for its gentle way of life and its landscapes between the lake and the mountains, but it is also an urbanized city that gives the Genevans a desire for nature and open spaces. When they moved into their new home, Julien and his partner wanted to return home to the mountains they love. These mountains they fell in love with as tireless and tireless sportsmen and travelers.
A mountain panorama from the Tête Blanche
While he had been following me for a long time on the social network Instagram, and was discovering my mountain pictures daily, the couple had the firm intention, and the certain desire, as an evidence, that they would decorate their future renovated house with my mountain photo paintings.
When they discovered my work at an exhibition, my large-format, life-size mountain photos, their emotion was even stronger than looking at them from behind their computer or mobile screen. While selling art photos online is the most common approach, Julien and his partner were able to confirm their crush on the panorama from the Tête Blanche overlooking the Matterhorn and the Matterhorn. Dent d'Hérens.
So they chose the 100×200 cm size, to hang it above their sofa. A perfect choice for a trendy, modern and uncluttered living room. The atmosphere in this living room is both warm and minimalist. The choice of materials and colors is a big part of it. Black and white are enhanced by the beige of the sofa, the wood of the floor and the choice of cushions and ottomans with geometric patterns containing a bright touch of tan brown. A living room where it is good to linger and imagine your next hike in the mountains!
A gallery of framed photos, for a modern apartment decoration
In the long corridor leading to the rooms, Julien had the idea and the desire to hang 4 prints photos in 50×75 cm format. Thus positioned face to face, with a frame on immaculate white walls, the impression is intense. One is truly immersed in a virtual reality in black and white. The lighting, with spotlights embedded in the ceiling, contributes to this hyper realistic atmosphere. An idea to remember to dress a corridor and give it a function, that of an airlock of decompression and contemplation.
The 6th photo frame is located in the staircase. It is a print of art in limited edition of the Matterhorn in the format 90x135cm. Impossible not to stop and contemplate this marvel. To be face to face with this mythical mountain in full communion with the clouds is a privilege. The light that emanates from it is incredible. Purity and power are represented here in their raw state. A very nice presentation of my photographic creations and a shared fascination for the mountain that goes straight to my heart!
