Hotel Chetzeron: a unique location
I invite you to discover the4-star Hotel Chetzeron, located at an altitude of 2112 meters in the heart of the Crans-Montana ski area. In 2009, this former gondola station was transformed into a restaurant, before becoming a hotel in 2014. Here, luxury blends with authenticity and elegance with Alpine style. The cosy space offers a splendid view of Zinals imperial crown. The most mythical summits are right in front of you: BishornWeisshorn, SchalihornZinalrothorn, Besso, Dent Blanche and, of course, the Matterhorn, Switzerland's landmark. Away from the hustle and bustle of Crans-Montana's village center, the hotel promises a peaceful stay while offering exceptional panoramic views from the heights of the valley.
In local dialect, Chetzeron means "the round ridge", a name perfectly suited to the hotel's exceptional location. Access to the hotel is a journey in itself. It can be reached on foot, on skis, by gondola or by Chetzeron vehicles. Isolated on its promontory, it sits enthroned in the immensity of the mountain. Every day and every season, the hotel offers a grandiose spectacle. In spring, nature awakens, the mildness settles in. In summer, the larch trees turn green, while in autumn, they blaze in gold and orange. In winter, every sound is muffled under the snow, bringing calm and lightness under a crystalline sky.
But what also makes this establishment unique is its modernity. The hotel is a model of respect for environmental and energy standards. Rehabilitating a disused building is a commitment in itself. To reappropriate an industrial relic and turn it into a place to live in harmony with nature is a powerful act. The building materials were carefully selected for their durability. The bedding is supplied by Hüsler Nest, a company certified by the Eco Institute. The furniture was entirely designed by the partners with the help of local craftsmen, helping to boost the local economy.
Since December 2024, I have been exhibiting my large-format works at the Hotel Chetzeron. In my own way, I pay tribute to the beauty of the Imperial Crown of Zinal.
