Panoramic mountain photo for a custom kitchen credenza

Written by Thomas Crauwels
custom made credenza - large format panoramic mountain photo
For his old renovated farmhouse located in the canton of Fribourg, Max wanted a large format mountain picture in his new open kitchen. His project? To put this mountain panorama of the Valais Alps in place of the credenza. An original interior decoration that he enjoys every day while cooking or from his living room.

A design wall decoration

Who hasn't dreamed of cooking with their head above the snowy peaks of the Swiss Alps? A dream that Max offered himself when he decided to replace his old kitchen by an ultra contemporary, pure, handleless and white lacquered model.

By imagining this custom glass credenza, it is a real design wall decoration that takes place in the kitchen. A photo of a mountain in black and white that echoes the black worktop and the white fronts of the furniture. Unpublished in an open kitchen decor, this print of art is laminated on acrylic glass, which gives it this bright and shiny. For the prints photo, the maximum width is 300 cm. This leaves a lot of possibilities for design.

A modern kitchen credenza to optimize the available space

It's not easy to arrange a kitchen and to hang large format pictures on the walls, especially when the room is entirely under the roof. The idea here was to optimize the available space to be able to offer this panoramic view of the Valaisan Alps to the whole family. Because from the chalet, it is impossible to contemplate them, to Max's great regret.

The mountain image and the plexiglass that protects it were cut to the dimensions of the work surface, and according to the electrical outlets provided. A completely personalized realization for the decoration of this small chalet. This solution is particularly recommended when there is not enough space on the walls to hang pictures.

A decoration for mountain chalet easy to implement

Lightweight and very easy to install, this credenza is fixed to the wall by gluing the white vinyl that is laminated to the back of the print photo. The print quality of the photo is enhanced by the plexiglass that makes the snow crystals sparkle under the spotlights embedded in the wall units. The reflection of the clouds also brings life to the glossy black worktops, even on the central island.

" I presented my project to Mr. Crauwels who was immediately interested and excited.
He helped me find a solution and the result is great. And of course the photo is magnificent!
"

How to choose the color of your credenza?

Making a personalized plexiglass credenza with a mountain photo is a new trend and a novelty that I now offer to change the classic materials that are marble, tile or aluminum.

B&W brings an elegant and very chic touch to your interior. The image becomes timeless, as if frozen in time. This is the case in Max's kitchen, where he chose to alternate black and white. The wood of the beams and cladding warming the room.
