The Rights
On the border between the Glacier d'Argentière and the Glacier du Talèfre, Les Droites (4,000 m) stand proudly, imposing a respectful silence on all who observe them. A veritable monument of the Mont Blanc massif, they impose their austere and historic north face, marking the imagination of generations of climbers attracted by this vertigo of stone and ice.
Thomas Crauwels perceives in Les Droites a concentration of alpine emotions: the verticality is total, the light sculpts formidable corridors, while the tapering peaks play with the clouds. Through his photographs, he captures this singular atmosphere, where the mountain is by turns menacing and fascinating, where time seems suspended in the shadow of a ridge. Each shot bears witness to an encounter with the very essence of Mont Blanc, a profound sense of humility in the face of nature's immoderation.
