Like a lighthouse in the middle of the night, the Aiguille du Midi illuminates the kingdom from above. This black and white photograph offers a breathtaking view of one of the most famous summits of the Mont Blanc massif. The Aiguille du Midi emerges from the mist. The rock, frosted by the cold and impetuous winds, shows us just how fierce the mountain can be. Behold the beauty of its west face and the Cosmiques ridge. The snow clings to the rocks, giving them a pure hue. This is the magical moment when nature brings its finest masterpiece to life. When the elements are unleashed, I must seize this rare moment, for it lasts only a few minutes before the fragrance of symbiosis fades. Behind the Aiguille du Midi, the Dent du Géant emerges from the Alpine waves and guides our gaze towards the Aiguille de Rochefort. Finally, Grandes Jorasses emerge, powerful and eternal.

In the heart of the high mountains, the human world seems far away. But it is never truly out of reach, as the Aiguille du Midi testifies. From its summit, the antenna and the cable car stand out as symbols of man's conquest of the peaks. The mountain attracts mountaineers of all levels, from novices to the most seasoned climbers, all of whom find their place in the vastness of the Alps. The Cosmiques ridge is the perfect introduction to this austere yet captivating world. I had the privilege of exploring the flanks of this splendid ridge alongside my friend Vivian Bruchez. The memories of that run will stay with me forever.

I love the contrast between rock and snow. Created by the storm, it reveals the complexity of the high mountains. From black to white, the Alps reveal themselves through their icy ridges and impressive verticality. The Aiguille du Midi rises to the sky and bears witness to its omnipotence.
