Portrait of the Aiguille du Plan, proudly standing among the Aiguilles de Chamonix, in the Mont Blanc massif, France. Culminating at 3673 metres, it is the only mountain in the area to be overlooked by the Aiguille du Midi.
Just after the storm, as the last rays of sunlight illuminate the horizon, a magical moment when the clouds part to make way for the mountain. Powerful and sumptuous, its coat is frosted, as it is on the rarest of occasions. When the elements come together in symbiosis to offer the eye the raw purity of an overwhelming nature. I was in the right place at the right time to capture this sacred moment. The perfect moment.
More than a portrait, this work reveals the abstract forms taken by the mountain in the face of the elements. Each of us can interpret the shape of this double summit in our own way, as it rises out of the mist. It arouses strong emotions in us, jostling us and hypnotizing us at the same time. The impression of touching purity with our eyes, a beauty that could come from another world.
The magic of this photograph also lies in the grandeur of the Aiguilles de Chamonix mountain peaks, which are constantly battered by the weather, but continue to stand unperturbed at summit . Their granite teeth, facing the most violent storms every winter, offer us one of the most beautiful creations we can admire when they emerge from the clouds, sublimated by the brilliance of snow and light. Photography immortalizes for all time this ephemeral moment that has become an eternal work of art.

We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. It seems alive. A real daily pleasure!
