While chasing snowstorms in the Mont Blanc massif, the Aiguille Verte, queen of the peaks, revealed itself to me. In harmony with the mountains and attentive to every breath of wind, I felt the call of nature. This mountain, one of the most illustrious in the Alps, is revealed at sunset, when the westerly light caresses the summit cap, still shivering from the icy cold. What a wonder! What an imposing scene! From this landscape springs all the majesty of the Alps, all the beauty of the Mont Blanc massif. Each storm is unique, and only unfailing perseverance keeps me coming back, again and again, until I witness a moment suspended in time.

Opposite us, the Nant Blanc disappears in a sea of fog, leaving the Aiguille Verte to emerge like a fortress above the mist. Its snow cap stretches all the way to the Grande Rocheuse, culminating at 4102 metres above sea level. Between light and shadow, the Grands Montets ridge traces its way to the suspended Aiguille Verte glacier. These mountains recall the beauty of faraway lands like Patagonia or the Himalayas. This fleeting appearance at the end of the day, after the storm, brings me light on the peaks I cherish so much. I'm always on the lookout for those unique moments when nature reveals its spectacular grandeur. On this day, all the elements were aligned to pay tribute to this pyramid of rock and ice. Isn't it precisely the transience of these moments that makes them such intense encounters? An ephemeral landscape captured in photography.
