Facing us is the Aiguille de Blaitière, a sentinel rising to an altitude of 3,522 metres. This Chamonix needle, one of the most emblematic in the Mont Blanc massif, has always attracted me with its bold silhouette and indomitable character.

I produced this color portrait in 2018. For days on end, I watched for the whims of the sky. The weather was particularly furious during this period. But on this particular day, the storm was finally beginning to subside. The clouds, still tormented, caressed the faces of the needle. See how fascinating the work is. The mist envelops the base of the Aiguille de Blaitière, revealing only its upper part. Like a ghost ship sailing on a sea of clouds, it emerges, majestic and solitary. Its sharp edges pierce the vaporous ocean, refusing to be swallowed up by the mist. See how the clouds play with the rock. The Aiguille de Blaitière proclaims the eternal grandeur of the Alps against the repeated assaults of furious winds and threatening clouds.
