The Revelation of Shadows
About the work
The Grosses-Fiescherhorn, Hinteres-Fiescherhorn and Grosses-Grünhorn. Carried away by the winds, our gaze continues its quest along a ridge that leads us to more discreet but equally divine mountains. At summit des Walliser Fiescherhörner, where the Fiescher-Gabelhorn and Chamm meet. Suddenly, a masterful silhouette catches our eye. Carried aloft by the Grosses-Fiescherhorn and Agassizhorn, the Finsteraarhorn soars skyward. Towering over the horizon, it stands guard over the Bernese mountains, towering at 4274 metres above sea level. This gigantic wall of invulnerable rock towers over the Ewigschneefäld like a celestial dam holding back a flood of ice. Thus adorned in white, the Ewigschneefäld invites us to dream. A field of eternal snow, with its silvery waves. Nature's masterpiece of absolute purity. How can you not be overwhelmed by such a spectacle?
I offer you this panorama as a hymn to the mountains. To the immensity of the Alps, to their rich history. To the splendor of these wild, unchanging landscapes. To their fragility, however, and to our duty to preserve them. See how the summits peaks cast their magnificent shadows over the Ewigschneefäld. See how the immaculate ice reveals the cadence of the rocky edges. Like a white score on which the melody of the world is written. I love to plunge my gaze into the details hidden in these fabulous shadows. To discover the treasures of the Grosses-Fiescherhorn, Hinteres-Fiescherhorn and Grosses-Grünhorn. To hear the voice of a nature that inspires and touches my heart.
