Bernese Alps
Beyond the Mists
About the work
We fly over the Schreckhorn, Lauteraarhorn and Finsteraarhorn before reaching the Grosses Fiescherhorn and Kleines Fiescherhorn on the horizon. The Aletschorn and Weisshorn stand in the middle of the picture. On the right, the legendary triptych of bernese alps takes shape: the Mönch, Jungfrau and the Eiger, whose famous Mittellegi ridge winds its way between light and shadow. But can you see the summit of the Alps? On the far right of the picture, Mont Blanc greets us, over 100 km away. Using my telephoto lens, I bring the mountains closer together to offer you the most beautiful panoramas of the Alps.
This photograph illustrates the very essence of my artistic approach. Giving life to this celestial realm at the heart of which the high mountains display all their power and beauty. When the fog takes over the world, only the highest summits are spared. Draped in white snow, they expose their slopes to the rays of the rising sun. A new day dawns, when nature perfects her creation. The most beautiful apparition in the world. An extraordinary moment to experience, contemplate and photograph. An unreal, breathtaking spectacle that inspires me and lifts me beyond the peaks and beyond myself.
