This exceptional photograph highlights the beauty of the Valais Alps in Switzerland. To create this impressive helicopter view, I positioned myself on the border between the Val de Bagnes and the Val d'Hérens. I spent a long time studying maps of the region to define this location. In the foreground, Mont Blanc de Cheilon. We then travel on to the Pigne d'Arolla, the Ibex, the Dent d'Hérens and the Matterhorn. In the background, the Monte Rosa massif, with Breithorn, Mount Pollux and Liskamm, add depth to the picture.

Through this grandiose panorama, I sought out the perfect alignment of the Valais Alps' most famous summits . It's springtime here, after a snowstorm, and the sun shines down on summits in a pure, brilliant light. The aesthetics of the picture bring the beauty of these reliefs to a climax. From this angle, the mountain ridges appear like sharp blades pointing skywards. This repetition of lances of light lends depth to the image and leads the eye right up to the Mont-Rose massif in the background. An army of colossi defending with honor their mother nature, powerful and sumptuous.

If I had to choose one photograph to represent the Valais Alps, it would probably be this one. In this highly graphic work, they appear wild and pure, untouched by any trace of humanity. Gigantic, inaccessible mountains that we dream of climbing one day. To discover their ridges, their glaciers. I've climbed almost all of them summits, and admiring them like this brings back so many memories and adventures.
