Extraordinary panorama of the Valais mountains. I took this helicopter shot from the heights of Grand Combin and Val de Bagnes. As the sun rises in late summer, the Swiss Alps reveal all their beauty. One after the other, the valleys follow the rhythm of the dawning day. This panoramic black-and-white photograph shows 34 of the 41 mountain peaks in the Valais Alps ( summits ) at altitudes of over 4,000 metres. But also its most beautiful glaciers. The Giétro glacier, illuminated by dawn, catches our eye in the foreground of the picture. A paradox of the times, it fills us with wonder while at the same time confronting us with the sad reality of the impending disappearance of ice and snow from the high mountains. He then guides our gaze towards the horizon. From the Weisshorn to the Monte Rosa massif, we cross the Dent Blanche, the Matterhorn and the Dent d'Hérens. Further on, the Nadelgrat takes us to the Dom, then we sail to the summit of the Täschhorn, theAlphubel, theAllalinhorn, the Rimpfischhorn and the Strahlhorn.
