Blumlisalp - black and white Summit of the Swiss Bernese alps in a mountain haze
About the work
I invite you on a wonderful journey. It's mid-afternoon. A storm unravels, a ballet of clouds makes its way. In the foreground, the Blüemlisalp Rotthorn rises, proud and torn, its gendarmes reaching for the heavens like the fingers of a hand stretched towards infinity. In the background, the Blüemlisalphorn ridge leads us to the Wyssi Frau. The rock giant plays to the rhythm of the elements. I was lucky enough to tread the flanks of this ridge, a traverse that moved me with its disproportionate splendor. To the right, like a spectre, the Blüemlisalphorn emerges, massive, in the shape of an ancient pyramid. Wrapped in a mysterious veil, the mask of mist plays with our imagination. How do you imagine the foot of the mountain? Vertical and icy? Rocky and sinuous?
Faced with this sumptuous landscape, the mountain spoke to me. Between light and shadow, I stood alone, patient, the lens ready to capture the revelation of these three summits. The moment took hold of the invincible, and the world between heaven and earth seemed suspended. I wanted this portrait to be unique, Powerful and mysterious. Through an interplay of perspectives, the photograph pays homage to the glory of bernese alps.
