This magnificent color photograph celebrates Breithorn, a mythical mountain in the Swiss Alps. It is revealed here, dominating the landscape with its majestic ice cap. It imposes itself on us with its quiet strength, its bluish hues reflecting the coldness of the glacier and the purity of the Alpine sky. Considered one of the most accessible 4,000-meter peaks in the world, summits 's north face is no less impressive for its glaciers and seracs. When the light of sunset pierces the clouds, summit seems to whisper its ancient secrets. I like to call this phenomenon "Glowing", a rare glow in the Alps that emanates from within the glaciers, giving them a spectral brilliance. In this mysterious atmosphere, at the crossroads between the softness of light and the robustness of glaciers, I celebrate the beauty of Breithorn.

In this photograph, three of the five peaks of Breithorn are revealed, all culminating at an altitude of over 4,000 metres: summits west, central and east. I'm particularly attached to this mountain, as it was the scene of my first 4000-metre ascent when I started mountaineering. Since then, I've been lucky enough to traverse all five summits, an adventure I'll never forget. The work thus stands as a trophy for any climber wishing to recall his or her first ascent. Like a celebration of a personal conquest in the midst of Alpine immensity.
