At the heart of this panorama is the Matterhorn, queen of the Valais Alps. To its left, the Mischabels massif rises on the border of the Zermatt and Saas Fee valleys. The intriguingly round lines ofAlphubel meet the sharp peaks of the Nadelgrat and the Dom des Mischabel, the highest peak in Switzerland alone. On the right-hand side of the panoramic photograph, the Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn,Obergabelhorn and the Dent d'Hérens emerge from the confines of val d’Anniviers and the Zermatt valley.

An eternal diamond of rock and ice, the Matterhorn imposes itself on our dreamy souls. An unshakeable sentinel carried by the ardour of the neighbouring walls. I took this black-and-white photograph from the heights of Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp. From the right bank of the Rhône to the edge of the Aletsch glacier, the Valais mountains appear grandiose. Feel your gaze swept away by the splendour of all these summits over 4000 metres high. I've climbed all 17 of them. One by one, I've had the chance to climb them. And contemplating them like this, I feel my heart vibrate. The moment is magical.

Under the First snows autumn sun, the Valais Alps are reborn at dawn. A sea of clouds fills the Rhône valley. Only the high peaks of summits triumph over the mist to make the sky dance. Their glaciers are still open, waiting for the furious winds to regenerate them. The view is breathtaking. Lines of light and shadow answer each other. The mingled voices of mountain and cloud whisper to nature of its infinite beauty.
