I experienced this exceptional adventure in the spring of 2016. On a stormy night, I bivouacked on the Grands Montets glacier, hoping that by daybreak the winds would have dissipated. But the clouds were stubborn and nature was furious. Suddenly, I saw it appear. Fabulous pyramid. Prodigious mountain. Gigantic peak still tormented by violent winds. A masterful irruption drawn by the ceaseless stream of clouds clinging to its summit. I photograph this incredible moment, when the ephemeral is adorned with the absolute. A few seconds of grace before the mist once again engulfs the Mont Blanc massif, delivering the Aiguille du Chardonnet to the celestial abyss.
