About the work
Portrait of a mountain that haunts my thoughts and capsizes my heart. The Dent d'Hérens rises in the Valais Alps, on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Its Tiefmatten ridge guides us through light and shadow to summit, so close to the sky. In the background, the Matterhorn watches over its sister of rock and ice. Two legendary peaks united by a ridge beyond measure. Along the Lion ridge, our gaze finally progresses from one gleam to the other, reaching the tip of the lord of Zermatt.
For as long as I can remember, the Dent d'Hérens has always inspired and fascinated me. An inaccessible pyramid whose strength is matched only by its majesty. Supported by the grandeur of the Matterhorn, the mountain seems an impregnable bastion. Yet I was lucky enough to climb it. Alongside Vivian Bruchez, I made the ascent as one opens up to life. And I remember every precious moment of our encounter. My footsteps on its rock, the feel of its ice. The breathtaking view of the Matterhorn at summit . Dent d'Hérens I finally breathed.
Subjected to the first winds of autumn 2019, the Dent d'Hérens exposes its frosted flanks to the dawning sun. I love it when shadows brush its walls, revealing its most Soft secrets to the world. When, at the bend of its cracks and steep ridges, nature reveals its hidden splendors. Ephemeral beauty, immutable power Dent d'Hérens instills in us a desire for the heights. A taste for adventure, a thirst for conquest. And to always dream of new horizons.

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. It seems alive. A real daily pleasure!

We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...
