Panoramic photograph of Dents du Midi overlooking the Val d'Illiez in the Swiss Alps. This exceptional mountain range boasts seven summits peaks over 3,000 metres in altitude. From east to west, these include the Cime de l'Est, the Forteresse, the Cathédrale, the Éperon, the Dent Jaune, the Doigts and the Haute Cime. I chose this angle of view, which can be admired from Montreux and the canton of Vaud, because it highlights the north face of this celestial castle, revealing its most beautiful profile.

To create this work, I went to the site at night, so as to be there when the first rays of sunlight illuminated the snow-covered mountains. By dint of patience and perseverance, I was finally lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the mountains as I had imagined them. The sun shines on the eastern face of Cime de l'Est. The summits, unshakeable and majestic, emerge from the clouds and dominate the skies. The furious wind still blows across the ridges, sending the snow flying towards other horizons.

This is one of my finest photographs of Dents du Midi. This breathtaking panorama allows us to take in the whole of summits. With its soft contrasts, the image conveys the power of the elements and the exceptional beauty of these mountains. The play of light and shadow highlights the details of the freshly snow-covered relief. The sight of this fascinating spectacle makes me dream of one day being able to traverse this magnificent ridge.
