I'll take you to the heart of the French Alps. In the south of the Mont Blanc massif, between Les Contamines-Montjoie and Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, the Dômes de Miage rise to an altitude of 3,673 m. An emblematic summits and a must-see for mountaineering enthusiasts, they offer an introduction to alpinism.

This black-and-white photograph reveals the Dômes de Miage in exceptional light. The summits, freshly covered in brilliant snow, suddenly emerge from a thick mantle of dark clouds. Powerful contrast between the threatening darkness of the storm and the luminous purity of the Alpine peaks. Like a brilliant diamond, the Miages emerge with rare elegance from the tormented darkness.

To capture this intense moment, I had to wait a long time for the precise moment when the elements entered into symbiosis. The storm rages on, threatening clouds loom large in the lower part of the picture. But suddenly, light breaks through and illuminates the summits the Miages, revealing their hidden splendor. The mountain seems to float, almost unreal, above the dark mists. Through my lens, I contemplate this spectacle with emotion. Every detail counts, every nuance is precious: the immaculate softness of the snow-capped peaks contrasts with the harshness of the clouds. These familiar summits take on a new, grandiose and poetic dimension.
