Gornergletscher
Deep Scars
About the work
This abstract photograph pays tribute to the Gornergletscher, now known as the Grientzgletscher. I love the interplay of lines and light that gives this work a mysterious quality. The bluish hue of the glacier contrasts with the golden rock, creating a palette of colors of rare splendor. In this cracked landscape, I invite you on a journey of contemplation. The rock, sculpted by years of glacial work, tells a story of resistance and transformation. At its feet, timid grass begins to grow back, marking the dawn of a new chapter in this natural theater. Look at the beauty of the crevasses. They seem to whisper to us their absolute purity. Through my art, I echo the changes in this alpine universe. Faced with this fragility, my role as a photographer takes on its full meaning. I pursue my mission to pass on the heritage of the mountains before they are irrevocably transformed. A living testimony to the evolution of the Alps.
