Between Val de Bagnes and Val d'Entremont, Grand Combin triumphs over a stormy sky. On this stormy night, I climbed the mountain to the Panossière refuge. Braving the fog and driving rain, I made my way to the heights of the Valais Alps. In the mad hope of discovering this immense alabaster massif at dawn. When I caught sight of it at dawn, I knew I was in for a unique moment. With trembling heart, I photographed it. A Titan of ice suddenly revealed by an evanescent mist. Before my astonished eyes, nature was offering me its most precious spectacle. It was 2012. My first encounter with Grand Combin. Unforgettable and fabulous. At the time, I never thought I'd be able to go all the way up there. At summit of this elusive and legendary massif. But fate decided otherwise. Ten years later, I reached its summit. Ten years later, I caressed the sky to become one with the Combin.

I offer you this work as a legacy. The memory of the Alps cradled by the winds. The mountains are changing and their glaciers are inevitably retreating. So I'm careful to preserve the imprint of its wild beauty. A glimmer of eternity that is gradually fading. Through my art, I bring this celestial kingdom to light, so that it never sinks into oblivion.

This fascinating portrait of Grand Combin is an ode to travel, a lyrical flight of fancy. One by one, the shadows guide us to summit. Our gaze glides along the Corbassière glacier, then rises into the light. On the horizon, we cross the Combin de la Tsessette and the Aiguille du Croissant to finally reach this point beyond measure.
