About the work
At Grand Muveran, I can't resist its call. Its beauty makes my heart skip a beat. I take out my camera, ready to capture its celestial aura. This rocky tooth rises to an altitude of 3,051 metres, dominating the Villars and Gryon valleys. Its 1800-metre verticality is what makes it so famous. The mountain shows its powerful, indomitable nature.
It took me years of waiting to create this work of Grand Muveran. The quest for the perfect moment is one of the secrets of my work. In 2019, that moment became a reality. The storm enveloped summit in fresh snow. A small jewel against the immensity of the Alps, the mountain took on the appearance of an impassable giant. I'm fascinated by moments when summits reveals itself in its purest form. I love these spectacles that reveal the grandeur of the Alps. Celestial poetry that only a camera can capture in a few thousandths of a second. Observe the interplay of light and shadow. These reflections of twilight, which I call Glowing, illuminate summit. In the dawning darkness, the edges sparkle. Grand Muveran is transformed into a diamond. The plastered snow and sheer walls make summit instantly desirable. Nature reclaims its rights and the universe sublimates the present.
I had the privilege of bivouacking on this summit on a summer's night. Up there, the panorama of the Valais Alps was splendid. And I, a humble photographer seeking to reveal beauty, am in communion with this mountain.

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...
