As the storm rages over the Alps, I set off to meet the mountains from a helicopter. Hovering above the clouds, I watch for a break in the weather. The sun is about to set, but I remain hopeful, waiting at all costs, ready to seize the moment. And as I approach the Mont Blanc massif, nature suddenly answers my call. The sky clears, revealing the sovereign peaks before my astonished eyes. Sparkling and valiant, they rise up, illuminated by the sun's rays. So I photograph them. The Grandes Jorasses on the horizon, carried by the deep, vigorous shadow of the firmament. Only the ridge linking summits sparkles, like a path to infinity, like an unequalled quest. The Aiguille du Plan, at the front of the picture, thundering with purity.
