This photograph of the Grenzgletscher highlights the aesthetics of its abstract forms. This famous glacier lies in the Zermatt region, between the Liskamm and Dufourspitze, not far from the Parrotspitze and Ludwigshöhe. There are many wonders to be seen in the high mountains. Here, at an altitude of over 4,000 metres, are some of the finest glaciers in the Alps.

Glaciers inspire me deeply. The shapes they form mesmerize me. Their history fills me with wonder. This water, now solid, has compressed to become this bluish ice with only a few micro-bubbles of air. An incredible phenomenon, a treasure of nature that sublimates the grandeur of the high mountains. I also love the contrast offered by snow-covered glaciers. I took this photograph of the Grenzgletscher after a storm. Freshly covered in snow, the glacier reveals all its personality. A special light adorns its surface with sumptuous silver reflections. As we gaze into its crevasses, a whole new world opens up. We travel to the heart of a landscape that is reshaped at every turn. A fascinating discovery of an elsewhere where anything is possible. Where beauty is born at the turn of a corner.
