On the edge of the French Alps, a mystical atmosphere reigns. The moment stands still. Silence takes possession of the heights. A sea of clouds rises from the depths of the mountains. In the crystal-clear air of the Mont Blanc massif, a life force takes hold of the kingdom. Ultimate power, light and shadow mingle on the tapering ridge. summits over 4,000 metres rise like sentinels of rock.

As gale-force winds batter the summits, I make my way to the Aiguille du Midi to photograph the Chamonix summits . I contemplate the dancing clouds, sculpting the mountain as they envelop them, then dissipate. Suddenly, the Grandes Jorasses emerge from the clouds. What an incredible sight! On this late spring day, nature has offered me the most beautiful of journeys. Our odyssey begins at Dent du Géanton the right, which takes us to the summit the Aiguille de Rochefort, at an altitude of 4001 metres. The ridge continues to Mont Mallet. Finally, the five summits of the Grandes Jorasses show their increasingly imposing north face. Take a look at the ridge that links these mountains. It's like a path leading straight up to the sky.

Sailing from summit to summit, our gaze is lost in the immensity of the high mountains. The wilderness captivates us endlessly. I treasure this work like a precious jewel.
