Dominating the Grindelwald valley with all its might, Jungfrau welcomes us at summit, more grandiose than ever. This emblematic mountain of bernese alps owes its fame to its proximity to the Jungfraujoch. This panoramic black-and-white photograph pays tribute to the grandeur of this mythical summit . How lucky I was to be able to immortalize Jungfrau at the end of spring! Just as a final storm had whitened summit before handing it over to the summer sun. It's only on rare occasions that the mountains don their Himalayan finery. Just a few days a year. And just a few sparkling minutes before it loses its splendour. These moments of grace are what I look out for, so that I can offer you new works of art every year.

This morning was special. I could smell the perfume of absolutes in the air. A gentle atmosphere prevailed at altitude, offering unique contrasts to the landscape. Through the scent of stray fog, Jungfrau greeted me with pure majesty. After observing her for a long time, I'm happy to have captured her from this angle, like a dazzling queen. I love the light that caresses its flanks and the shadow that reveals its mysteries. Opposite us, the frosted rocks of its north face abound in abstract details. It's up to you to interpret and grasp them. Is this a force of the imagination or a message from nature? Doesn't everyone ultimately see in them what they want from life? A mirror of our hopes and truths. As a passionate photographer, I try to discern the soul of the mountain in its relief. And I think I've succeeded.
