In front of us stands Lyskamm , which, with its Himalayan airs, dominates the Monte Rosa massif on the border between Switzerland and Italy. I took this panoramic black-and-white photograph from the heights of the Ludwigshöhe, in the heart of the Spaghetti Tour mountains. At the foot of Lyskamm lies the magnificent Grenzgletscher glacier, which joins the Gornergletscher below. In the shadows, you can see the Monte Rosa hut, a landmark in the vastness of the Alps.

On either side of summit, the Alps stretch endlessly, taking our gaze to our wildest dreams. On the left, we can see Grand Combin, the Dent d'Hérens. On the right, the imperial crown of Zinal sculpts the horizon. The Matterhorn, Dent Blanche,Obergabelhorn and the Zinalrothorn stand immaculate.

On this autumn morning, the Italian summits are whitened by a return from the east, while the storm has spared the Swiss relief. A strange phenomenon that suddenly brings the border to life. In Italy, winter has set in, while in the Swiss valleys, autumn endures. The work is born of this breach between two worlds. Rising between heaven and earth, the mountain has two faces. Rough and welcoming. Abrupt and Soft at the same time. From rough rock to silky snow. Nature's duality in the image of life.
