Massif des Mischabels
About the work
I love the massif of the Mischabels and the pleat of their dress. I love the sequence of shots and the depth that reveal the immensity of these mountains. Look at the ridges: they fascinate, they captivate, they take us beyond ourselves! I love these diagonals that take our gaze from left to right, from ridge to ridge. In a play of light and shadow, I offer you a fragment of a parallel reality.
Note the complexity of the textures in this work. The Täschhorn reveals itself, plastered with fresh snow, while the Dom, barely 1 kilometer from its neighbor, sports only its bare rock. What unpredictable alchemy! This is the reality of my work: constantly searching for the mountains that, for a brief moment, will reveal a supernatural beauty. This quest is my obsession, my passion. If every summit were uniformly snow-covered, photography would lose its play of contrasts. See the lenticular cloud overhanging the mountain range, like a jellyfish floating in the depths of the sea, engulfing its prey. Nature's shapes and textures will always amaze us.
