Here we are in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif, splendid and invincible. Captured from the heights between Combloux and Megève, this photograph takes us to summit the sovereign of the Alps: Mont Blanc. From this vantage point, the massif is radiant, revealing four access routes to the roof of Europe. First, the 3 Monts route. Then, in the middle of the picture, the normal route via the Aiguille du Goûter and the Dôme du Goûter. To the right, the royal route via Bionnassay, whose sword-thin ridge guides the mountaineer's steps towards his destiny. Finally, behind Mont Blanc, the Brouillard ridge stretches out, celestial and indomitable. At this altitude, oxygen is scarce. Every breath becomes a conquest. Every step a challenge. Up there, spirit and mountain meet and unite. Up there, the horizon embraces infinity. 2018.

I'm constantly in search of excellence and beauty. Violent winds howl in the heights. Faced with the fury of the elements, I wait patiently for the storm to calm before hoping to immortalize a divine moment. At the end of the day, the precipitation begins to fade. The clouds part and a soft light emerges: Glowing. At dusk, between softness and chaos, the Mont Blanc massif glows. I dreamed of this photograph of the French Alps, I wanted it, I cherish it.

Beyond these mythical mountains, I perceive a surge of abstraction. Like a rough diamond rising from the waves, the peaks sparkle with profound purity. What do you see? A tortoise? A sleeping giant?
