Mont Blanc
Impossible conquest
About the work
Let me introduce you to the protagonists of this grandiose scene. La Noire et la Blanche de Peuterey, le Grand Pilier d'Angle, le mont Blanc de Courmayeur, le mont Maudit, le Grand Capucin, la Tour Ronde. These summits guide us to Mont Blanc, the undisputed sovereign of the French Alps. From Italy, the Combe Maudite tears through the clouds. Its name evokes the latent danger of its many crevasses. Is it a coincidence that it is dominated by the Aiguille du Diable and Mont Maudit? Imagine the duality of this scene. On one side, a world above the clouds, where the summits stand out against an ocean of mist. The kingdom of heaven rises, once again, inaccessible and solemn. On the other, a world beneath the fog, that of earthly reality anchored beneath this celestial banner.
This panorama pays homage to the human adventure that, despite its smallness, aspires to conquer these vast spaces. This breathtaking view of the massif can be contemplated via the Panoramic traverse Mont Blanc. A timeless journey by gondola from the Pointe Helbronner to the Aiguille du Midi. This journey transforms man into a privileged spectator of Alpine grandeur. As the massif plunges back into the clouds after the storm, I'm there, witnessing the moment when the sublime is revealed.
