In this grandiose, unreal aerial photograph, we venture into the heart of the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps. I shot this black-and-white view from the heights of Verbier, in Switzerland. I spent a long time studying the cartography to find the perfect angle that would allow me to reveal the excessive splendor of these legendary mountains.

In the foreground, the Aiguille de l'Amône became famous thanks to Jérémie Heitz, incredible steep skier and director of the film La Liste. In the center of the picture, the Aiguille du Triolet stands proudly. The magnificent Aiguilles Ravanel and Mummery also appear in the background. In the background, on the left of the picture, the Dent du Géant emerges from the mist, a ghostly blade piercing the horizon. The voie normale du Goûter, the voie des Trois Monts and part of the integral de Peuterey are also featured in this marvellous panorama of the Alps.

On the photograph, one shot follows another and one ridge follows another, irresistibly leading our gaze to the highest summit in the Alps. Master of the celestial realm, Mont Blanc imposes its law with its disproportionate scale. All around it, the jagged reliefs for which the massif is famous. Sharp peaks sculpting the horizon, they protect their king.

This magical work hangs in my home and takes me on a journey every time I look at it. I discover new details every day. Depending on the light that falls on the painting and my own sensitivity. For nature offers itself to those who know how to listen.
