In this photograph, the Quatre Ânes and Ferpècle ridges give summit an impressive scale. This natural pyramid dominates the horizon, surrounded by other summits icons of the Alps. The Matterhorn on its right, Dent d'Hérens on its left and the Grand Cornier in the foreground rise to the glory of their majestic neighbor.

I took this very clean, luminous photograph on a winter's afternoon, when a storm had just blown through the canton of Valais. I wanted to highlight the sumptuous, multi-faceted textures with which the snow adorns the rocks. Abstract forms are born in the heart of frozen relief, revealing the unique and ephemeral face of a mountain that is constantly evolving. Richness of material, purity of light, precision of lines. As if summits were drawn in pencil. Every day, the mountain is different, but what makes my art vibrant is the precise, mysterious moment when the snow just deposited on the walls reveals its essence. Nature becomes an artist.
