Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau
Renaissance under the Lenticulars
About the work
I painted this piece on a winter's morning. The first rays of sunlight illuminate summits, topped with astonishing lenticular clouds. While the valley of Grindelwald is still sleeping under the clouds, the high mountains are slowly coming back to life after the storm. The muffled light gently pierces the mist to illuminate summits. A deep, mysterious atmosphere that gently reveals the unrivalled charisma of these mythical mountains. In immortalizing this exceptional panorama, I wanted to capture the austerity and power of the Eiger's north face, which appears in the shadows, scarred by the still-roaring storm. The winds have frosted its cracks and dihedrals, revealing the intimate features of its personality. Fabulous Eiger that animates my art as it bewitches my thoughts.
