A famous summit located between the Aiguille du Midi and Mont Maudit in the Haute-Savoie, it unfurls its majestic silhouette at the very edge of the clouds. I took this masterly portrait of the mountain when the elements seemed to have conspired to offer me an unparalleled spectacle. This magnificent black-and-white photograph reveals a striking feature of Mont Blanc du Tacul: its upper ridge shaped into an almost perfect curve, similar to a celestial spiral. This extraordinary shape, sculpted by the winds and enhanced by the emerging light, draws a luminous crescent at the summit the mountain. Like a wave frozen in stone and ice, this swirling ridge seems to defy the laws of alpine geometry. Its sinuous line contrasts with the usual verticality of the summits, creating a unique visual signature in the Mont Blanc massif.

Listening to the mountain and the rhythm of the storms, I waited for a spark to emerge from the highest summits in the Alps. All night long, the elements raged. The wind swept across the ridges, lifting the freshly fallen snow. Suddenly, the east face lit up to reveal a bold curve that seemed to embrace the sky. The north face, on the other hand, remains in shadow.
