About the work
A grandiose portrait ofObergabelhorn, the jewel of the Alps at the bottom of val d’Anniviers, in Switzerland. In this vertical photograph, the mountain reveals its impressive north face. Capturing this image was a real adventure. As stormy winds were forecast, I skied up to the Mountet hut below the Zinalrothorn, where I spent the night. Shortly before daybreak, I continued my ascent to 3700 meters, hoping to get a shot of the mountain before it was swallowed up by the clouds. Up there, the view was fabulous. This photograph is testimony to that. In presenting it to you, I'm delighted to be able to take you toObergabelhorn and spare you the journey. The descent was long and tiring. As the sky darkened over the heights, I could no longer make out the relief.
This incredible viewpoint onObergabelhorn is difficult to access. But it feels so good! In the heart of the wilderness of the Valais Alps, I love to be here, surrounded by the summits that inspire me. All those high mountains over 4000 metres in altitude that I've been lucky enough to climb. These emblematic colossi that I'm on a mission to immortalize. From this location, I have photographed the Weisshorn, the Zinalrothorn, the Grand Cornier and the Pointe de Zinal.
In this work, I wanted to highlight the majesty ofObergabelhorn, whose face is studded with seracs and hanging glaciers of incredible beauty. A natural treasure secretly preserved by the north-facing face. The presence of high-altitude clouds feeds the picture with a fascinating dramatic intensity. The lines of mountain and mist harmonize, endowing the portrait with a spectacular dimension. Through an interplay of textures and materials,Obergabelhorn reveals its features, bearing witness to its history and personality.

We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........
