Valais Alps
Harmony in the Wild
About the work
The mountain ranges follow one another like you rarely see them. Natural boundaries between valleys, they invite us to travel beyond their summits. To the left, we climb Dent Blanche via the Ferpècle ridge, before descending via the Quatre Ânes ridge. From the Col de Zinal we reach the Pointe de Zinal and Mont Durand. Our journey then takes us to the Ober Gabelhorn, Wellenkuppe, Trifthorn, Pointe du Mountet, Zinalrothorn and Schalihorn. And now it's time for the ascent of the Weisshorn, the highest summit of the Zinal Imperial Crown. We approach it via the Schaligrat and descend via its northern ridge. We finally reach the Gendarme and Bishorn. The Tracuit hut, built on the pass of the same name, can be seen on the left of Dent Blanche. Drawn by the horizon, our eyes discover the impressive Mischabels massif on the right. Another exploration begins. Via the Nadelgrat, we survey the Dirruhorn, the Hobärghorn, the Stecknadelhorn, the Nadelhorn and the Lenzspitze, which guides us to the Dom. From the Täschhorn we head forAlphubel, an astonishing dome with a flat summit . In the background, the border between the Valais Alps and the bernese alps.
I took in this grandiose panorama at daybreak, after the passage of a snowstorm. Emerging from the clouds, the mountains seem to dominate the sky. A moment of ephemeral purity that I offer to eternity. As you contemplate this large-format work, you'll travel to meet more than 16 summits 4000-meter-high mountains. Through the textures and reliefs of a high mountain at the height of its beauty.
