Embracing in a single glance so many mountains over 4,000 metres high. The ecstasy of heights. To take this panoramic black-and-white photograph, I flew by helicopter over Mont Blanc de Cheilon. Because this exceptional view of the Valais Alps doesn't exist from the ground. Its ultra-high-definition format gives you an incredible perspective. In the foreground, Mont Blanc de Cheilon stands out. Our footsteps take us from its Winter summit to its Summer summit . Then the valleys follow one another in a breathtaking panorama. Admire the Weisshorn at val d’Anniviers and Dent Blanche in the Val d'Hérens. Alphubel ,Allalinhorn and the Rimpfischhorn stand on the border between the valleys of Zermatt and Saas Fee. On the right, the Matterhorn points skywards, accompanied by the Dent d'Hérens and summits of Monte Rosa. Nordend, Dufourspitze, Zumsteinspitze, Signalkuppe, Lyskamm and Castor appear on the horizon.

The thundering immensity of a world beyond our grasp. Behind Mont Blanc de Cheilon appears the Bertol hut, nestled in its eagle's nest. The only sign of human existence, with the Margherita hut enthroned on Pointe Gnifetti in the distance. The magic of high-definition photography, in which you discover new splendors at every glance.

I took this exceptional panorama at dawn. Just as the storm has plastered the mountains and the sun is shining on the glaciers. I wanted this luminous work to reveal the beauty of the western slopes of summits, still huddled in the shadows. Plunge your gaze into the heart of the mountains. The details of their snow-covered rocks reveal their history.
