It's winter 2020. I face the storm from the air. The wind is blowing at over 100 km/h. In the face of this disastrous weather, the helicopter swings from left to right. But I remain focused on my objective: to immortalize the Combins massif, more Powerful than ever. Suddenly, the clouds begin to dance poetically. Ready to capture the moment, I hold my breath. Dressed in rock and snow, the mountain is splendid. Between light and shadow, nature redraws the landscape in shades of silvery grey. In the foreground, the Combin de Valsorey plays with the clouds, its north face smoothed by ice. The summit website leads our gaze to the Combin de Grafeneire, the highest point of this sumptuous massif. In the background, our eyes are lost in the immensity of the Val d'Hérens mountains. From the Dents de Veisivi to the Pointe de Genevois, the summits, draped in white, watch over Switzerland, austere and dominating. In the background, the valleys of the Valais follow one another. The air is getting colder, but nature still offers the most beautiful of pictures. Every element of this portrait exalts the eternal, majestic spirit of the high mountains that inspire my art and stir my soul.
