The curtain opens on the Bernina massif, dominating the Swiss canton of Graubünden with its sovereign stature. At the center of the picture, the Biancograt ridge rises majestically to the Pizzo Bianco. Climbing it, you might think you've reached summit. But it's nothing of the sort! A final effort is required to reach Piz Bernina, culminating at an altitude of over 4,000 metres. To its right, Piz Scerscen, at 3970 metres, offers the splendour of its hanging glaciers.

In this panoramic photograph, I wanted to highlight the exceptional scale of the Bernina Massif, using contrasts that are both Soft and inviting. The picture invites contemplation. At the junction of light and shadow, Biancograt appears to be suspended between earth and sky, breathing new energy into the mountain. Breaking through the clouds, summits seems to come from elsewhere. A mystical apparition of unruffled nature, floating beyond the world.

Inaccessible to man, nature models its ephemeral and sublime work here. Through my art photography, I try to understand the signals she sends me, so that I can set out to meet her. To be there when the miracle happens. The work is arduous and the failures numerous. But I tirelessly pursue my quest until that blessed day when my lens succeeds in capturing the beauty that nature unveils. A moment of grace when the mountain appears marvellous and poetic. Highness of rock and ice at summit . A few serene, enchanted seconds outside reality before the clouds engulf summits once again.
