Piz Palu
Edges of Light
About the work
At the dawn of day, the mountain awakens, still buffeted by the night winds. The peaceful rays of the newborn sun graze its snow-covered ridges and summit. Piz Palü, cradled in gray tones, exudes strength and serenity. I love the graphism of its silhouette. Its echoing ridges of light and shadow seem to celebrate the splendor of the Alps. Like a muse playing with her drapery to seduce the artist. I love the depth that guides our gaze into the heart of photography. Revealing to the world the texture of its rock, the abundance of its snow. I love the lightning speed of summit , which changes according to perspective. Piz Palü, the Mona Lisa of the Swiss Alps, takes our hearts far beyond the photograph, into a world of grace and magnificence.
