Taschhorn
About the work
When the winds whip the peaks and chaos reigns, the mountains roar with vehemence. The elements are unleashed: snow falls on stone, clings to it, then, torn off by impetuous gusts, flies away again towards the alpine skies. For several days, the mountain becomes a theater of confrontation, where nature displays its strength and inaccessibility. The world of the heights becomes untameable for man. But when the winds subside, the sun's rays make their way through, illuminating the rock and snow. The flanks of the Täschhorn, in their shades of grey and white, rid themselves of chaos. In the new-found serenity, the mountain shimmers in the Zermatt region. Like a perfectly cut diamond, summit sparkles with crystalline clarity.
Through this magnificent photograph, I pay homage to a summit less famous than its neighbors, the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa. Yet it sparkles like a jewel in the sky. From this angle, the mountain seems impassable. But when you make the Täschhorn-Dom traverse, this pyramid reveals itself to be a pile of rock that can be conquered. And at the end of this epic alpine ascent, our hearts still seem to soar towards the heavens. A rare pearl in the Swiss Alps, the mountain transports us to unsuspected heights.
