Majestic Mount Tödi, 3613 metres above sea level, on the border between the Glarus Alps and the Engadine. In the foreground of the photograph, the Hinter Schiben, Vorder Schiben and Hinter Selbsanft rise up to offer a breathtaking view of the Tödi. An emblematic mountain in the canton of Glarus, its scale is impressive. Its walls are adorned with gigantic hanging glaciers. Sparkling mirrors reflecting the beauty of a celestial kingdom that we believe to be eternal, yet reveals its faults. What would the high mountains be without their armour of ice? Stripped of its finest finery, what place would it hold in our hearts?

I took this magnificent black-and-white photograph of the Tödi after a storm. Hoping that the snow would purify the atmosphere and clear the horizon. Waiting for the sun's rays to illuminate summits and for the mist to roll into the valleys. Only then could I immortalize this grandiose panorama. Playing with depth to bring a regal dimension to the picture. With this work, I invite you to travel to the heart of the immensity of the Alps. Let your gaze wander through the succession of shots.
