Tschingelhörner - Flims
About the work
Our journey begins at Ofen, whose dome, crowned with snow after a storm, rises with pride. At its summit, a cross marks man's conquest of the Alpine skies. Our gaze then turns to the Grosses Tschingelhorn. Like a bastion, it protects the cantons of Glarus and Graubünden. Its sharp edge cuts into the sky. Its dark rock, plastered with snow, gives it an elegant zebra-like appearance. In the background, Piz Segnas stands out, a veritable natural fortress, unreachable by climbers on the day I took the picture. Attempting to climb it was too great a risk for even the most seasoned mountaineer.
The Tschingelhörner is pure and inaccessible. Man, in his fragile helplessness, admires these heights, and only his spirit allows him to wander from peak to peak. In the heart of this flamboyant landscape, he feeds on the Soft mysteries of nature.
