On a bed of clouds, the high mountains are reborn in daylight, dressed in dazzling snow. This grandiose panorama of a kingdom whitened by the night winds takes us to summit of the Valais Alps. Our journey begins on the Brunegghorn and continues at an altitude of over 4,000 m, at summit du Bishorn. Our eyes are drawn by its exceptional stature, as we reach the summit of the Weisshorn, a majestic pyramid of rock and ice. At last, on the horizon, we reach the crests of two queen mountains, the Zinalrothorn andObergabelhorn, jewels in the imperial crown of Zinal.

Under the sparkling glow of daylight, the mountains intertwine, the ridges intertwine. Seracs, glaciers and rocks intertwine to give this work a sublime soul. From the generous curves to the sharp points, an immutable, profound picture emerges. Playing with light and shadow, the Alps reveal their fleeting grace. Then, in a breath, I photograph them. Looking for the perfect angle, the most beautiful vantage point. Nourished by this ecstasy in the face of immensity, I immortalize the Weisshorn and the neighboring summits .

Beyond the mist, time seems frozen. An unshakeable realm of purity. But if we listen to the high mountain, if we look at it attentively, then we see that it is metamorphosing. Its rock crumbles, its snow melts. Its crevasses open, its seracs fall. Its glaciers recede inexorably. For the mountain changes as we grow. Sensitive to life, vulnerable to the world. The Alps are slipping away from us, and will one day have to reinvent themselves to welcome our children to their wounded flanks. So while it's still possible, I devote myself body and soul to preserving the high mountains as I love them. I never stop photographing it, as if to give it another eternity.
