Sunrise over bernese alps. I took this black-and-white portrait of the Wetterhorn and Eiger from the heights of Hasliberg and Meiringen. Rosenhorn rises to the left. The ridge continues on to the Mittelhorn and finally reaches summit of the famous Wetterhorn, the region's signature mountain Grindelwald. At its foot is the Grosse Scheidegg pass, which leads to Grindelwald. The surrounding landscape is so vast that it's impossible to make out the buildings that line it. On the right-hand side of the photograph, the illustrious Eiger rises. Between light and shadow, its Mittellegi ridge draws its impressive silhouette. The image highlights its sinister north face, destined to lie in shadow for many months to come. To the left of the Eiger is the world-famous Jungfrau. Last but not least in this Bernese triptych, the Mönch sparkles in the sun.

I took this photograph of the mountains on a winter's morning. A violent storm has just blanketed summits with snow, creating fascinating abstract shapes on the rock faces, new and ephemeral masterpieces of nature. What luck to have been present at the precise moment when the mountain revealed itself in this way! The high clouds endow the picture with silver and Soft contrasts, enhancing its beauty. The sun illuminates the sheer walls of summits, sparkling diamonds of rock. Between light and shadow, the cliffs stand out, sharp and monumental. I dreamt up this exceptional panorama as an ode to bernese alps. Photography offers a precious perspective on these mountains. It highlights the immensity of these rocky colossi and their sumptuous hanging glaciers. It highlights the gigantic cliffs that withstand the most violent storms from the north and are the pride of the Bernese massif.
