In the heart of the Imperial Crown, one summit stands out from the rest. After a ferocious foehn storm, the Zinalrothorn emerges from the clouds, mysterious and bewitching, draped in its ice sculpture. Rising to 4221 metres, it floats in the mist, dominating the valley of Zermatt and the Val d'Anniviers. This mystical, abstract vision is reminiscent of Cerro Torre, the famous mountain in Patagonia. In the foreground, the Rottorngratt guides our gaze up to the antecima. In the background, the cross, frosted by precipitation and bitter cold, shines modestly against the immensity of the celestial kingdom. Can you see the Binerplatte? These slabs are an essential part of the ascent to the Zinalrothorn.

In this photograph, I've sought to highlight the exceptional hue of this peak with touches of color. Each detail harmonizes to create a work of purity and majesty. The fresh snow, sparkling in the sun's first rays, contrasts with the deep shadows of the rocky slopes. I enjoy these moments of contemplation, when the mountain reveals its beauty in unexpected ways. This play of light and shadow, this contrast between immaculate whiteness and mysterious darkness, plunges us into a spellbinding universe. By photographing these fleeting moments, I capture the soul of the Alps, with their strength and fragility, their grandeur and eternity. Each work is the fruit of infinite patience, of my love for these giants of ice and rock. The moment is adorned with eternity, carrying with it the splendor of this titan of the Alps.
