About the work
This is a portrait of the Matterhorn, the iconic giant of the Valais Alps. As I contemplate the photograph, my breath is taken away. The mountain seems to emerge directly from the depths, projecting its walls skywards with prodigious force. Every rock stratum bears witness to the raw power of this legendary summit . The Lion ridge, the royal route to the Matterhorn's 4,478-meter summit, appears like a fine rib etched into the rock.
The day I immortalized this spectacle, I felt a deep admiration for the mountain. The immense, vertical West face exerts an irresistible, almost intimidating attraction. The subtle interplay of light and shadow further accentuates the vertiginous sensation of the work. Our gaze wanders, lost in the infinite details of rock and snow, awed by the absolute grandeur of the Matterhorn.
Through the photograph of the Matterhorn's west face, I share with you an emotion: that of humility in the face of a summit capable of arousing in us fascination and profound respect. The Matterhorn, with its uncompromising character, embodies the very essence of the mountain, both inaccessible and magnetic.
Through this exceptional portrait, I pay tribute to the wild beauty and unrivalled verticality of the Matterhorn's west face. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to climb this mountain with my friend Vivian Bruchez. I have incredible memories of that climb. My footsteps on the ridge, the feel of the rock. For me, reaching the summit was the fulfillment of a dream.

We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........
